Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Service Modernisation Manager to work with one of our Local Authority clients in Middlesex.
- What the Job Will Be Doing
- Leading complex transformation and service improvement programmes across Housing Needs and Homelessness.
- Managing multiple projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to agreed objectives.
- Reviewing existing housing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing more efficient ways of working.
- Developing business cases, project plans and governance documentation for senior leadership approval.
- Working closely with Housing Needs, Homelessness, IT, Finance, HR, Legal and Transformation teams to deliver service improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and the Homelessness Code of Guidance.
- Monitoring project risks, budgets, milestones and performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Leading service improvement initiatives that enhance customer outcomes, strengthen governance and improve operational performance.
- Researching best practice, emerging legislation and innovative service delivery models to support continuous improvement.
- Working with senior stakeholders to embed change across the organisation and ensure projects deliver measurable benefits.
- Producing high-quality reports, business cases and presentations for senior leaders and governance boards.
- Championing a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the delivery of strategic housing objectives.
- What You Will Need
- Previous experience managing transformation, service improvement or modernisation projects within a Local Authority or Housing Association.
- Strong knowledge of Housing Needs, Homelessness legislation and statutory duties.
- Experience delivering complex projects from inception through to implementation.
- Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Homelessness Code of Guidance.
- Experience producing business cases, project documentation and reports for senior stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across multiple services.
- Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing services, identifying efficiencies and implementing change.
- Experience managing project budgets, risks and governance processes.
- Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent (desirable).
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
