Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Leasehold Officer to work with one of our Local Authority clients in West Sussex. This is a temporary contract role, paying 30 per hour, offering the chance to join a busy leasehold team at a pivotal time.
What you will be doing:
- Providing information and advice on the management of buildings, leases and the payment of service charges, working closely with colleagues across the team
- Handling service charge matters, including calculations, billing and resident queries
- Managing Section 20 consultations for qualifying works and long term agreements
- Facilitating Right to Buy applications and supporting leaseholders through the process
- Delivering a full financial and administrative service covering leasehold flats, shared ownership and Right to Buy cases
What you will need:
- Experience in leasehold management or housing services, ideally gained within a local authority or housing association
- Working knowledge of service charge legislation, Section 20 consultation requirements and Right to Buy processes
- Strong numeracy and administrative skills, with confidence managing service charge accounts
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain leasehold matters to residents in plain terms
- An organised, proactive approach to managing a varied caseload
