Marks Consulting Partners are currently recruiting for a Property Inspector to work with one of our housing association clients in Maidstone.

What you will be doing:

  • Inspecting properties, diagnosing defects and managing cases including damp and mould, pest infestation and disrepair through to successful completion.
  • Specifying and managing works in line with policy, procedures and probity requirements, including use of the NHF Schedule of Rates.
  • Timely specifying and instructing works in line with the timescales set out in Awaab's Law and the disrepair protocol.
  • Undertaking cost benefit analysis on potential works and stock condition, working closely with Asset Management teams.
  • Updating internal computer systems and the case management system with findings and actions from inspections.
  • Deploying IoT sensors into customers' homes and explaining findings to them, both pre works and post works.
  • Carrying out post inspections to completed proofing works and reviewing variations to ensure value for money.
  • Liaising with relevant teams and external contractors to ensure works are completed on time, cost effectively and to customers' satisfaction.

What you will need:

  • A surveying qualification, or a minimum of 5 years surveying experience in a similar role.
  • Clear understanding of Awaab's Law and HHSRS.
  • Strong diagnosis skills and the ability to manage multiple properties.
