Marks Consulting Partners are currently recruiting for an Information Officer to work with one of our local authority clients in South London. This is a Grade 8 (indicative) role working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, sitting within the Housing and Modernisation directorate's Customer Experience team. What you will be doing: * Managing the client's inbox, assessing and allocating incoming FOI, EIR, DPA and SAR requests * Handling Council wide and Data Protection Act 2018 Schedule 2 requests, including from police, HMRC and other local authorities * Logging and tracking requests to ensure responses are dispatched within statutory time limits * Identifying and sourcing information, applying exemptions and redacting data as required * Supporting FOI, DPA and EIR compliance across departments and liaising with the Information Commissioner's Office What you will need: * Working knowledge of FOI, EIR, DPA and GDPR legislation * Experience managing a busy caseload and meeting statutory deadlines * Strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation * Analytical skills for handling data and producing performance information * Confident IT skills, including word processing and database management If this job is not quite right for you but you are looking for something new, please contact us for a confidential discussion.
