Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Leasehold Officer to work with one of our Local Authority clients in West Sussex. This is a temporary contract role, paying £30 per hour, offering the chance to join a busy leasehold team at a pivotal time.

What you will be doing:

  • Providing information and advice on the management of buildings, leases and the payment of service charges, working closely with colleagues across the team
  • Handling service charge matters, including calculations, billing and resident queries
  • Managing Section 20 consultations for qualifying works and long term agreements
  • Facilitating Right to Buy applications and supporting leaseholders through the process
  • Delivering a full financial and administrative service covering leasehold flats, shared ownership and Right to Buy cases

What you will need:

  • Experience in leasehold management or housing services, ideally gained within a local authority or housing association
  • Working knowledge of service charge legislation, Section 20 consultation requirements and Right to Buy processes
  • Strong numeracy and administrative skills, with confidence managing service charge accounts
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain leasehold matters to residents in plain terms
  • An organised, proactive approach to managing a varied caseload
