Marks Consulting Partners are currently recruiting for a Deputy Housing Options Manager (Team Leader) to work with one of our local authority clients in Sussex. This is a 3 month temporary contract, working two days per week in the office on duty, with the rate dependent on experience.
What you will be doing:
- Providing day-to-day leadership and support to two Prevention Outreach Officers (subject to change), including line management responsibilities
- Acting as Duty Manager within the office two days per week
- Leading on a range of critical partnerships and multi-agency initiatives, including MARAC, MAPPA, Rough Sleeping and Housing First
- Ensuring effective joint working across statutory and voluntary sector agencies to support some of the most vulnerable residents
What you will need:
- Substantial experience in homelessness and housing options services
- Strong understanding of Housing Act 1996 Part VII and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
- Experience of partnership working with statutory and voluntary sector agencies
- Excellent decision making and case management skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff in a fast paced, frontline environment
- Experience of Home Connections is preferable
- Enhanced DBS check and references required
