Marks Consulting Partners are supporting a well-established commercial property consultancy in their search for a Building Surveyor or Senior Building Surveyor to join their thriving Sheffield office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary environment, delivering high-quality building consultancy advice across a diverse client base—from major corporates to private investors, while developing your career towards chartered status or beyond.
What the job will be doing
- Deliver professional building surveying services including pre-acquisition advice, dilapidations, reinstatement cost assessments, and project management.
- Work on a range of exciting projects including refurbishments, industrial developments, roof and cladding replacements, and fund monitoring.
- Support senior team members on large-scale projects while taking ownership of smaller instructions.
- Provide expert advice to clients and build lasting relationships across a wide range of sectors.
- Receive mentoring and guidance from experienced leaders to support APC progression and continued professional growth.
What you will need
- Degree-qualified Building Surveyor, ideally MRICS or working towards chartered status.
- Strong technical knowledge across core building surveying disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills with a client-first mindset.
- Self-motivated and eager to develop your expertise within a collaborative team.
The Offer
- Salary £40,000 – £65,000, dependent on role level and experience.
