An ambitious, independent consultancy is growing its Birmingham team and looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who wants more than another corporate QS role.

You’ll join a Director-led, owner-managed business with a strong reputation, impressive client base and a varied pipeline across the built environment.

With genuine responsibility from day one, you’ll have the opportunity to build relationships, lead projects and make your mark.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Own cost management across projects from inception to completion
  • Provide proactive commercial and cost advice to clients
  • Manage budgets, forecasts and financial reporting
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, consultants and project teams
  • Build trusted, long-term client relationships
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to projects across industrial, logistics, residential, commercial, retail, hospitality and infrastructure
  • What we’re looking for
  • Strong Quantity Surveying experience within consultancy or a similar environment
  • Proven experience managing projects commercially from start to finish
  • Confident client-facing communication skills
  • Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support others
  • MRICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous
