We are working in exclusive partnership with a highly regarded, fast-growing multidisciplinary property consultancy to appoint an Associate Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in one of the most high-profile building safety and regeneration programmes in the UK.
This is a career-defining leadership opportunity to take commercial ownership of major cladding remediation, façade, fire safety and regeneration projects, including a flagship 5-year national regeneration programme with genuine social impact.
The Opportunity
You will join a well-established consultancy that has built a strong reputation since 2010 for delivering complex projects across: Social housing & public sector / Schools, academies & universities / Commercial owners & developers.
You will work closely with clients, contractors and in-house Fire, Structural and Building Surveying teams, providing strategic cost leadership across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of cost management from feasibility through to final account
- Prepare cost plans, estimates, tender documentation and procurement strategies
- Manage valuations, variations, change control and final accounts
- Provide clear commercial and contractual advice to clients
- Regular site visits to monitor progress and verify works
- Support delivery of cladding, façade and building safety projects in line with the Building Safety Act
- Produce high-quality client reports and cost validation assessments
- Play a key role in strategic project leadership and client relationships
About You
- Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or working towards chartership
- Strong pre- and post-contract experience
- Proven background in consultancy, cost management or employer’s agent roles
- Experience in cladding remediation, façade or building safety projects is highly advantageous
- Confident communicator with strong commercial acumen
- Comfortable managing projects end-to-end and operating at a senior, client-facing level
