We have 8 offices in the UK: London, Oxford, Cambridge, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

Role purpose

To oversee the work of client service teams, providing instructions and guidance as necessary ensuring work is carried out efficiently and a high level of client service is provided at all times.

Principal responsibilities

  • To lead and motivate client service teams ensuring tasks are carried out accurately and timely.
  • To allocate work to the appropriate team members and ensuring adequate cover is in place to cover the workload and provide a high quality of service at all times.
  • To identify and solve problems raised within the team.
  • To train new team members and to identify and resolve training needs among existing team members.
  • Appraisal and recruitment of team members.
  • Participate in regular team meetings with fellow Team Leaders and Managers to ensure communications and workflow standards are maintained.
  • Proactively review working practices and discuss with other Team Leaders and Managers as appropriate, and on approval, to implement changes.
  • Maintain lines of communication with partners, fee earners and other support staff.

Technical knowledge, professional qualifications and experience

  • Diligence, organisation, pro-activeness and teamwork are essential qualities for this position.
  • Experience in a team leader position (Desirable).
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work efficiently.
  • CIPA IP Administrator certification desirable but not essential.
  • At least 3 years\’ experience working in an IP related role.
  • Good knowledge of Inprotech & CPA Direct
  • Five GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows 10 & Office 2016 suite.
