Role purpose
To oversee the work of client service teams, providing instructions and guidance as necessary ensuring work is carried out efficiently and a high level of client service is provided at all times.
Principal responsibilities
- To lead and motivate client service teams ensuring tasks are carried out accurately and timely.
- To allocate work to the appropriate team members and ensuring adequate cover is in place to cover the workload and provide a high quality of service at all times.
- To identify and solve problems raised within the team.
- To train new team members and to identify and resolve training needs among existing team members.
- Appraisal and recruitment of team members.
- Participate in regular team meetings with fellow Team Leaders and Managers to ensure communications and workflow standards are maintained.
- Proactively review working practices and discuss with other Team Leaders and Managers as appropriate, and on approval, to implement changes.
- Maintain lines of communication with partners, fee earners and other support staff.
Technical knowledge, professional qualifications and experience
- Diligence, organisation, pro-activeness and teamwork are essential qualities for this position.
- Experience in a team leader position (Desirable).
- Ability to manage high volumes of work efficiently.
- CIPA IP Administrator certification desirable but not essential.
- At least 3 years\’ experience working in an IP related role.
- Good knowledge of Inprotech & CPA Direct
- Five GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of Windows 10 & Office 2016 suite.
