  • Using data, analytics and critical thinking to identify risks, opportunities and performance drivers, joining the dots across trading, costs and investment.
  • Assessing proposed and live strategic initiatives through commercial modelling, business cases and post‑investment reviews, providing clear recommendations.
  • Being a confident voice of challenge, improving financial ownership and acumen across the Beers, Wines and Spirits business, and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

Who you are

  • A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with strong commercial acumen and a passion for driving business performance.
  • Experience partnering a commercial or operational business, ideally within Retail or FMCG, with a strong understanding of sales through to gross profit.
  • The ability to communicate with impact, translating financial insight into clear stories and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in commercial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and risk assessment.
  • A proactive, solution‑driven mindset, with the confidence to challenge, influence and hold partners to account in a fast‑paced environment.
