The Reliability Engineer will continually improve the service delivered by the M&S Connectivity team, while ensuring commercial value and effective oversight.

Working within the Connectivity team, the role supports the lifecycle of projects and operations, ensuring that solutions are crafted, implemented and operated in line with agreed Service Level Indicators and Objectives.

The role requires a blend of engineering, operational and analytical capability to identify issues, assess root causes and implement appropriate actions that improve service performance.

This includes delivering short‑term remediation alongside longer‑term objectives and builds that support continuous improvement.

  • Lead the availability, reliability, and continuous improvement of the Connectivity platform.
  • Proactively identify, lead, and resolve service issues using monitoring, telemetry, and data‑driven insights.
  • Build strong partner relationships and collaborate across teams to deliver effective end‑to‑end solutions.
  • Drive operational excellence through process optimisation, automation, and effective service transitions.
  • Contribute to platform strategy, roadmap development, and major incident resolution while supporting wider business objectives.

Who you are

  • Strong expertise in ITIL, ITSM tooling, service reporting, and continual service improvement.
  • Shown experience across enterprise networking technologies, including Azure, Fortinet SD‑WAN, Juniper Mist, and Zscaler.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to diagnose sophisticated issues using multiple data sources and perspectives.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, able to translate technical concepts for diverse partners and teams.
  • Committed to delivering reliable, high‑quality services through automation, process optimisation, and operational excellence.
