Partnering closely with the Director of Store Development, you'll lead high impact programmes, develop investment cases, and produce executive level insights that inform key decisions across our property portfolio. This is a high visibility role suited to someone who thrives in complex, fast paced environments and brings strong analytical and strategic capability. To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What You'll Do

  • Lead cross functional programmes from concept through to delivery, aligning Property, Finance, Retail Operations, and Commercial teams.
  • Develop high quality, insight led business cases, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, and investment appraisals.
  • Support the shaping of long term property strategy, including estate planning, format evolution, and capital prioritisation.
  • Produce compelling executive level materials, translating complex information into clear, persuasive narratives for senior stakeholders.
  • Use data, market insight, and performance tracking to identify opportunities, monitor programme success, and inform strategic decision making.

Who You Will Be

  • A strategic thinker with a background in consulting or strategy, ideally within retail, property, or capital intensive environments.
  • Highly analytical, with strong experience in financial modelling, investment appraisal, and data led decision making.
  • An exceptional communicator, skilled in creating senior level presentations and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven in leading complex, cross functional programmes and operating effectively in ambiguous, fast moving environments.
  • Organised, resilient, and commercially astute, with a collaborative approach and a drive to challenge and improve.

What's in it for you:

  • 20% colleague discount across all M&S products and many of our third-party brands for you and a member of your household.
  • Competitive holiday entitlement with the potential to buy extra holiday days!
  • Discretionary bonus schemes awarded based on how you achieve your personal objectives and our performance as a business.
  • A generous Defined Contribution Pension Scheme and Life Assurance.
  • A dedicated welcome to our teams with a tailored induction and a wide range of training programmes to develop your skills.
  • Amazing perks and discounts via our M&S Choices portal to maximise your financial and personal wellbeing.
  • Industry-leading parental, adoption and neonatal policies, providing support and flexibility for your family.
  • Access to a fantastic range of wellbeing support for all colleagues including access to our 24/7 Virtual GP and PAM Assist to support you and your family.
  • A charity volunteer day to support a charity or cause you're passionate about through a dedicated day away from work.
