We are seeking a strong business partner to play a key part in embedding best practices across all Data Management capabilities, working directly with Product teams, Data Owners, Legal and Engineering teams to ensure data is well-managed, trusted, and used effectively. You will be navigating both strategic and operational context, consulting with stakeholders, influencing decisions, and driving measurable improvements in data management capabilities across key domains. Who you are
- Solid experience in data management, data governance or related roles
- Deep knowledge of data management methodologies, e.g. DAMA, DCAM, CDMC
- Experience with implementation of data policies and improving data management in large, complex organisations
- Proven experience designing, starting and implementing large-scale change around data governance, quality and cataloguing solutions
- Experience working collaboratively with other functional teams, from product to technology, finance, risk and legal
What you will do
- Act as a subject matter expert for data management practices across M&S
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between domain-specific needs and enterprise data strategy, whilst delivering data management maturity progress
- Provide hands-on support to Data Owners and Stewards in applying data policies, controls and governance frameworks
- Produce and maintain KPI reporting for the Data Management function
- Assess for data risks & issues, and lead on documenting and remediating these risks where appropriate
