We are seeking a strong business partner to play a key part in embedding best practices across all Data Management capabilities, working directly with Product teams, Data Owners, Legal and Engineering teams to ensure data is well-managed, trusted, and used effectively. You will navigate both strategic and operational contexts, consulting with stakeholders, influencing decisions, and driving measurable improvements in data management capabilities across key domains.

Who you are

  • Solid experience in data management, data governance or related roles
  • Deep knowledge of data management methodologies, e.g. DAMA, DCAM, CDMC
  • Experience with implementation of data policies and improving data management in large, complex organisations
  • Proven experience designing, starting and implementing large-scale change around data governance, quality and cataloguing solutions
  • Experience working collaboratively with other functional teams, from product to technology, finance, risk and legal

What you will do

  • Act as a subject-matter expert for data management practices across M&S
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between domain-specific needs and enterprise data strategy, while delivering data management maturity progress
  • Provide hands-on support to Data Owners and Stewards in applying data policies, controls and governance frameworks
  • Produce and maintain KPI reporting for the Data Management function
  • Assess for data risks & issues, and lead on documenting and remediating these risks where appropriate
