Overview
Customer Assistant – In Store Bakery – Milton Keynes. Friday-05.00-13.00. Under 18 disclaimer: This job role involves working early mornings and this means we can’t consider applications from anyone under the age of 18. This is to comply with the relevant health and safety legislation and to keep our colleagues safe in the workplace.
Please note that the £3.00 p/h unsocial premium is only added on any hours worked between 22:00-06:00.

We\\\’re seeking passionate individuals who take pride in their knowledge of M&S Food products and are excited to share it with our customers. You\\\’ll be a brand ambassador who’s ready to recommend our newest Food products. Through remarkable service you\\\’ll make sure our customers feel truly valued every time they shop with us.
Working pattern
Week 1: Monday 05:00-13:00, Tuesday 05:00-13:00, Wednesday 05:00-13:00, Friday 05:00-13:00, Saturday 05:00-13:00.
Week 2: Sunday 06:00-14:00, Tuesday 05:00-13:00, Wednesday 05:00-13:00, Thursday 05:00-13:00, Friday 05:00-13:00.
There is an early-morning shift pattern and eligibility is restricted to applicants over 18 in line with health and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve our customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service points
- Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring shelves are stocked with product
- Monitor and deliver on daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities
- Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service
- Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services
- Receive training to utilise digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer every time
