We are actively searching for a skilled Threat Intelligence Associate to join our growing intelligence team. This is a junior role in the Threat Intelligence team, working with experienced analysts and developing a career in Cyber security. The role will focus on triaging alerts, monitoring news feeds, and analysing new and evolving threats to the business, utilising advanced tools, methodologies and know-how to determine what matters and what does not. The role offers the opportunity to work with experienced intelligence analysts as well as a wide range of roles within M&S InfoSec, providing insights to the intelligence team, InfoSec departments and other relevant parts of the business, impacting the security, stability and health of operations within Marks and Spencer.

What you'll do:

  • Day to day operational responsibility for threat intelligence processes and tooling
  • Monitoring global cybersecurity incidents and trends to predict potential impacts on the organization
  • Support the analysis and interpretation of cyber threat data, helping to translate technical findings into actionable intelligence for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support the integration of threat intelligence into security measures and incident response plans
  • Continuously update and maintain an understanding of the threat landscape, focusing on tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) used by adversaries

Who you are:

  • Experience in cyber threat intelligence role or equivalent (SOC, Support, Cyber Security Roles)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of cyber threat actors, their tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs)
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and SIEM tools, including custom rule development for threat detection
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
