As a Head of Technical Programme Management, you will drive the execution of product solutions within M&S, owning supplier delivery where applicable. You will be responsible for the various stages of highly visible sophisticated Programmes of work. The role will report to the Senior Head of Delivery within Technology responsible for all FH&B Delivery. It will focus on the Commercial area of the business responsible for Digital Product Creation, Product Master Data Maintenance, Traceability/Sustainability of Products and the support and maintenance of planning Systems (circa £20m spend in total). Fundamentally, it will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex technology solutions that drive the efficiency and effectiveness of this area. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in agile methodologies and technical program management to ensure the successful execution of large-scale initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the delivery of sophisticated, cross-functional projects across multiple product functions and domains, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Implement and advocate for standard process agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, DevOps) to optimise value delivery and improve team performance.
  • Define and drive the technical strategic direction for the supply chain and logistics platform, demonstrating market-leading expertise to propose bold, innovative directions.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks by implementing standard methodology mechanisms, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Foster a no-blame culture where teams are accountable for their actions and decisions. Work closely with C-Suite partners to share risks, showcase ideas, and harness capabilities to address business challenges.
