Overview

Christmas Customer Assistant - Food - Lower Earley Simply Food at Marks and Spencer — temporary Christmas role focused on delivering excellent customer service and championing M&S Food products.

Work pattern

Sunday: 05:00-13:00

Saturday: 05:00-13:00

Additional hours may be required during the weeks commencing 14th and 21st December up to full-time.

Note: The + £3.00 p/h unsocial premium applies only to hours worked between 22:00-06:00.

Role purpose

To deliver a great shopping experience for our customers, acting as the face of the business and championing our products while helping to continually improve the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points.
  • Keep the store clean and tidy; ensure shelves are stocked.
  • Monitor and deliver on daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand needs, make recommendations and provide remarkable service.
  • Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services.
  • Utilize digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer.
