Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older (to comply with health and safety legislation and keep colleagues safe in the workplace).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the fill operation, delivering a ready sales floor, coaching colleagues on One Best Way, and driving productivity for store opening.
  • Coordinate resource to deliver operational tasks during the fill operation, and in the absence of the Colleague Manager.
  • Allocate resource to deliver a quick payment experience.
  • Enable all daily operational processes to be implemented efficiently across area of store at correct times.
  • Coordinate team to deliver a clean, safe, and well‑presented store.
  • Create a great, inclusive team atmosphere.
  • Model exceptional customer service and M&S behaviours/Colleague Expectations across the store.
  • Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations to help deliver high performance and recognise great colleagues.
  • Support nearby stores if operationally required.
  • Act as key holder and answer call outs as required.
  • Manage opening/closing building tasks, including vehicle receipt, temperature controls, logging operational issues with helpdesks, cash handling, and TSL compliance.
