We are seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Assistant Designer with experience in Formal & Smartwear to join our Menswear Tailoring team. In this role, you will support the design team in delivering collections that are both timely and commercially relevant. IMPORTANT – Include a sample of your portfolio in your application.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trend and market research.
- Develop clear and engaging visual presentations.
- Assist with fit sessions.
- Support product development from initial concept to final sample.
- Work alongside the JD/Designer to deliver the global product direction.
- Work with Designers to meet critical path deadlines and deliver correct designs on time.
- Create CADs using Photoshop/Illustrator to show accurate product representation for range reviews and PLM tech packs.
- Support Designer to deliver Design Briefs to indirect suppliers when required.
- Support Designer on producing high‑standard tech packs and hit rate on direct.
Qualifications
- Strong design and CAD skills with an eye for detail.
- Knowledge of trend interpretation, the current competitive marketplace, and product design.
- Experience in briefing and specifying direct design–sourced product, working with Technology/Design and Buying teams to create high‑standard tech packs.
- High proficiency in design IT applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and CAD.
- Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines within the Design and Buying critical path.
