We are looking for a Site Merchandising Manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to join our dynamic M&S.com International team, where collaboration, innovation, and customer focus are at the heart of everything they do. This role will be responsible for delivering high-impact merchandising and optimisation strategies across our flagship international websites. This covers everything from category merchandising and product population to search, navigation, taxonomy, and non-campaign content.

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for the successful delivery of merchandising and optimisation strategies across our flagship international websites, including category merchandising, filters, product population, search, navigation, product recommenders, non-campaign site content and taxonomy.
  • Drive the strategic direction of the Web Site Merchandising function and future Onsite Optimisation roadmap.
  • Accountable for translations across sites for all areas and management of the translation agencies. Leads launches of new language sites where applicable.
  • Foster a customer-first mentality by identifying and solving customer journey pinch-points.
  • Lead the onshore and offshore Web Site Merchandising team to deliver business objectives. This role requires hands-on experience with website merchandising tools (including implementation) and the ability to remotely lead both onshore and offshore teams.
  • With a strong commercial and analytical approach, drive performance improvements and deliver against key metrics. Communicate effectively to influence across all levels, think innovatively and solve problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Be based at the Paddington Support Office with a minimum of three days per week in the role; some overseas travel may be required within the UK or internationally.
  • Proven experience with website merchandising tools, including implementation and optimisation.
  • Strong leadership skills to remotely manage our onshore and offshore website optimisation teams.
  • Commercially driven and analytically minded, with a track record of improving key performance indicators.
  • A confident communicator who can convey ideas and points of view in a compelling and engaging manner, with the ability to influence and adapt style to the audience.
  • Innovative and solutions-focused with strong communication and organisational skills, able to deliver results at pace.
