We're looking for a creative, commercially minded all‑rounder to join the Jaeger team as a Junior Designer on a 12‑month maternity cover. This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a design team creating modern, elevated collections for an iconic British brand, supporting across research, CAD, colour, fabric, print and product development. You'll bring fresh ideas, strong attention to detail and a passion for beautifully considered design, working collaboratively with Design, Buying and Technical teams to help deliver ranges that feel relevant, refined and true to Jaeger's distinctive handwriting.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Designer/Senior Designer to deliver a commercially focused, contemporary and relevant product range for Jaeger.
  • Assist with research, design development and preparation of seasonal boards, colour palettes, fabric direction and key product details.
  • Work closely with the wider design, buying and technical teams to support the delivery of the range from concept through to sign‑off.
  • Contribute ideas and inspiration that reflect the Jaeger brand handwriting, customer profile and seasonal trend direction.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate design packs, sketches, artwork and product information to support effective communication with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Drive fabric research and attend fairs to source new and interesting qualities within the pricing architecture.
  • Meet fabric deadlines.
  • Drive Design Product Strategy (DPS) in line with BU, collaborating with the wider team contributing original research, vintage research, markets etc.

Qualifications

  • Expert in the field of design with design experience within the Premium market, Retail or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience raising the bar to the next level on product modernity, design and development, execution, refinement, fits, detail and finish.
