As the Merchandiser on Beauty Brands you will be responsible for developing the departmental strategy with the Beauty Brands Partnership Manager, in line with the Business area strategy.
You will work with the Buying team in selecting and managing wholesale 3P product range selection to meet our customer requirements, taking full responsibility for the range.
You will need to ensure product selection and size of offer adheres to key principles of price stretch, range scale and choice that compliments M&S Brands and customer aspirations As the Merchandiser on Beauty Brands your key accountabilities will include...
- Constantly monitor sales and range offering with the team to ensure commercial and customer aspirations are potentialized liaising with brands to curate and amend accordingly.
- Work with brands to select and deliver product that excites the customer, sets M&S apart from their competitors and promotes the curated and edited brand
- Analysis of sales with AM to identify winners and losers and taking appropriate actions working in collaboration with stakeholders to react to trade and maximise sales opportunity for the Department.
- To deliver launch and respond to in season variables for all channels.
- Delivering BU sign-off including lessons learned and financial plans.
- Analysing commercial information as required for strategic and product planning meetings, leveraging sales analysis.
- Supporting M&S. com to deliver total department target.
- Leading a motivated team to implement and exploit new systems and processes.
- A proven track record of Core and/or Brand Merchandising Skills at Merchandiser level.
Significant experience working at Junior Merchandiser level (ready to step into Merchandiser role) or already working at Merchandiser level with experience working with third party brands.
Passion for Beauty.
- Good knowledge of management reporting systems.
- Knowledge of M&S brand and sub-brand strategy.
- Able to fully utilise the relevant IT support systems and to be fully conversant with standard business desktop applications.
- People management skills.
- Ability to manage a commercial area and ensure the area's targets are met.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and interpretive skills.
