Job Title: Repairs Planner / Scheduler

About the Role:We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Repairs Planner / Scheduler to join our busy maintenance team based in Potters Bar. In this key role, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating repairs and maintenance works across a portfolio of residential properties. Youll act as a vital link between tenants, operatives, and management to ensure efficient service delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance jobs for operatives and contractors.
- Liaise with tenants to arrange suitable appointments and keep them informed throughout the process.
- Monitor and manage operative diaries to maximise productivity and reduce downtime.
- Raise, allocate, and close work orders using internal systems.
- Track and follow up on outstanding repairs, ensuring jobs are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Work closely with the repairs management team to prioritise urgent works and ensure compliance with KPIs and service level agreements.
- Provide administrative support and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a planning/scheduling role within repairs, maintenance, social housing, or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- IT literate, with experience using repairs management systems (e.g. DRS, Orchard, Northgate, or similar).
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and juggle competing priorities.
- A team player with a problem-solving attitude and customer-focused approach.
