Builder / Handyman / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative Salary:
£37,000 basic, with £45,000+ earning potential Hours:
8am–6pm, guaranteed 45-hour week Location:
South/Southeast London and surrounding areas to the South Coast Contract:
Permanent, PAYE We are recruiting a skilled Builder / Handyman to join a busy Installation Department, carrying out general building repairs and maintenance across domestic properties and social housing. Key Responsibilities
Complete general building repairs and making-good works.
Carry out roof repairs, weatherproofing and work around vertical flues.
Install wooden boxing beneath boilers and around flues.
Undertake small plastering jobs, brickwork repairs and mortar matching.
Install ceramic tiles and complete finishing work.
Work safely at heights using ladders and scaffolding.
Maintain excellent customer service when working in occupied properties.
Complete job records using a handheld tablet and maintain van stock.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Builder, Handyman or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative.
Experience in property repairs, ideally within social housing.
Good knowledge of building maintenance and health and safety.
Full UK manual driving licence.
Own hand tools.
Flexible approach to travel and working across different locations.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
