Electrical Tester / Electrical Supervisor – M&E Central London | £55,000–£60,000 per annum | Permanent We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Tester / Electrical Supervisor for a permanent, site-based role within a busy Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) environment in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical professional with strong testing experience who is looking for a varied role combining hands-on electrical testing with site supervision across a portfolio of commercial properties.
The Role
You will carry out electrical testing, inspections and associated electrical works across approximately 10 sites in the Central London area. The position combines practical testing duties with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. Occasional travel to a data centre in Acton may also be required. Previous data centre experience would be desirable. Sites are generally accessible by train, making public transport a convenient option.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical testing, inspection and certification. Ensure installations comply with relevant regulations and safety standards. Supervise electrical operatives and coordinate site activities where required. Maintain high standards of health and safety across all locations. Identify faults, recommend remedial works and ensure quality workmanship. Liaise with site teams and management to support the smooth delivery of works.
Requirements
Recognised electrical qualifications. Proven electrical testing experience within an M&E or commercial environment. 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (essential). SSSTS qualification preferred. Relevant electrical certificates and a strong understanding of current regulations. Data centre experience desirable.
