Multi-Trade Operative – Social Housing Maintenance Location: Sittingbourne and surrounding areas Salary: Β£40,000 per annum + company van, fuel card and benefits Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Working Hours: Monday to Friday Are you an experienced Multi-Trade Operative looking for a stable, permanent role? We are recruiting on behalf of an established property maintenance organisation with a strong presence across the UK. With extensive industry experience, the business delivers essential repairs and maintenance services across the social housing sector. Due to a newly secured contract, they are looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join their growing maintenance team, carrying out responsive repairs and general maintenance across social housing properties in Sittingbourne and the surrounding areas. The Role – Multi-Trade Operative As a Multi-Trade Operative, you will be responsible for completing a range of repairs and maintenance tasks across occupied and void social housing properties. Your duties will include: Carrying out responsive repairs and general property maintenance. Completing multi-trade works, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering and patch repairs, tiling, painting and decorating, and general building maintenance. Diagnosing faults and identifying effective repair solutions. Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard. Working professionally in occupied properties and treating residents with respect. Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment. Completing job sheets, photographs and other required paperwork accurately. Following health and safety procedures and relevant industry standards. Ensuring all work meets the required company and client quality standards. About You – Multi-Trade Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative, Multi-Skilled Tradesperson or Maintenance Operative. Previous experience in social housing, housing association maintenance or a similar property maintenance environment. An NVQ, City & Guilds qualification or equivalent trade qualification. Practical skills across several trades, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling or decorating. A full, valid UK driving licence. A professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with residents. The ability to work independently, manage workloads and complete repairs efficiently. What's on Offer?
