About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced Commercial Gas Engineers to support new contract wins across multiple locations. This role is ideal for engineers based near any of the following postcodes: OX, WD, MK, LU, AL, HA, SL, UB, EN, HP. You will be working primarily within the hospitality and retail sectors, carrying out a mix of reactive maintenance and planned servicing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend gas-related reactive call-outs and complete works within SLA/KPI targets.
- Log work accurately using mobile device applications.
- Carry out Gas PPMs including boilers, fires, and tightness testing.
- Complete ventilation checks, drop tests, and catering equipment servicing.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently.
- Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams, offering technical support.
- Support general plumbing tasks when needed.
- Follow all health and safety procedures on site.
- Take part in the on-call rota (minimum once per month).
- Work mainly within the listed postcode areas, with occasional travel beyond.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Gas Engineer with relevant commercial tickets.
- Experience in reactive commercial gas maintenance (hospitality sector preferred).
- Skilled in fault finding and a wide range of gas systems.
- Comfortable with general plumbing work when required.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work at height when necessary.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Bonus if you have experience in: Boilers, gas fires, ducted vent systems, flue fans, kitchen extraction systems, heating/cold water pumps, air source heat pumps, 230v controls, and solid fuel systems.
