We are supporting a major UK infrastructure programme delivering critical transmission projects as part of the transition to a low‑carbon energy network. Due to increased project demand, we are seeking experienced Integrated Programme Specialists to support the delivery of large‑scale High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) projects. This is a key role within a complex, multi‑disciplinary environment, working across major infrastructure packages and supporting programme integration at scale.
The Role
Reporting into senior project leadership, you will play a pivotal role in integrating and managing complex construction programmes across multiple workstreams. These will include design, civil works, buildings, HVDC technology, cable systems, and substations. You will work closely with project management, planning, and supply chain teams to ensure the delivery programme is robust, realistic, and optimised across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead programme integration across multiple project packages within a large infrastructure delivery environment
- Support the development of a fully integrated construction programme, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
- Work closely with planning teams to optimise programme logic and critical path
- Review and challenge contractor programmes, including 4D digital rehearsals
- Manage interfaces between project packages, identifying risks and opportunities
- Support the management of change events, delay analysis, and programme impacts
- Ensure programme compliance with contract requirements and delivery objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams and supply chain partners to drive successful project outcomes
About You
We are looking for experienced professionals with a strong background in programme integration, planning, or construction delivery within large‑scale infrastructure environments. You will bring:
- Proven experience working on major infrastructure or construction projects within multi‑contract delivery models
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and programme management principles
- Experience supporting or leading integrated construction programmes
- Solid understanding of contract‑driven programme requirements (e.g. NEC3 or similar)
- Experience in managing interfaces across complex project packages
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess programme risks, delays, and opportunities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working on HVDC, substations, or comparable complex infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with 4D planning and digital construction tools
- Background in engineering, construction, or project controls
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel regularly to site locations across Scotland
- Ability to work on‑site for the majority of the working week
