As part of our partnership with a leading enterprise technology company, we manage a fleet of drivers responsible for mapping and data collection territories in Europe. We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our driver workforce. This role is critical in ensuring field performance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction while also managing logistics and technical support.
- Oversee and manage a team of drivers across the UK and Europe, ensuring operational coverage, route adherence, and performance delivery.
- Lead and manage Operations Leads in the UK and Europe, ensuring consistency in performance standards and operational execution.
- Motivate, coach, and support drivers and regional leads to consistently meet performance targets and safety standards.
- Ensure all drivers follow company policies, client standards, and health & safety guidelines.
Launch Management & Field Execution
- Travel regularly to European launch sites (including overnight stays) to support and oversee driver programme launches.
- Organise and manage launch venues, facilities, and full on-site logistics to ensure successful programme rollouts.
- Oversee and manage in-car driver assessments during launches, ensuring compliance with operational, safety, and client standards.
- Provide hands-on operational leadership during launch phases to ensure seamless deployment.
Performance & Client Management
- Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly driver KPIs, including kilometres driven, mapping coverage, utilisation, and performance metrics.
- Act as the primary operational point of contact with the client, providing performance updates, identifying trends, and implementing continuous improvements.
Logistics & Fleet Management
- Coordinate driver travel and accommodation arrangements across Europe to support territory mapping and launch activities.
- Act as the central point of contact for logistical planning to ensure minimal disruption to schedules and project delivery.
- Provide hands-on support for drivers experiencing technical or mechanical issues, liaising with service providers and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, compliant, and available for field deployment.
- Identify process and performance gaps and implement operational improvements to enhance productivity, driver engagement, and fleet utilisation.
Proven experience in operations management, logistics, fleet management, or field-based programme delivery.
Experience managing multi-country or European field operations.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Europe, including overnight stays.
Experience organising operational launches, events, or large-scale field deployments.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse KPIs and implement performance improvements.
Highly organised with excellent problem-solving and logistical planning abilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and operational tracking/reporting tools.
