We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native data platforms in Basildon. This role will focus on building modern lakehouse architectures leveraging AWS and Snowflake, ensuring high performance, reliability, and governance across enterprise data ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end data platform architecture using Snowflake, AWS, and modern lakehouse principles
- Produce high-quality Architecture Design Documents (ADDs) and technical blueprints
- Architect and optimise data pipelines using Airflow / MWAA and dbt
- Define and implement data lakehouse solutions using Apache Iceberg and S3
- Lead performance tuning across Snowflake, Airflow, and Iceberg environments
- Ensure platform reliability, observability, and scalability
- Drive adoption of cloud-native design patterns and best practices
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders
Requirements
- Strong experience in Solution Architecture for data platforms
- Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture
- Hands-on experience with Airflow / MWAA and dbt
- Strong knowledge of AWS data services (S3, EMR, PySpark)
- Expertise in performance tuning and optimisation
