About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect specializing in Point of Sale (POS) to join our client’s team based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining the future of the retail POS architecture, advising on IT best practices, and bringing a comprehensive understanding of the retail and POS landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and define the future retail POS architecture in line with the client’s business requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert on IT architecture and POS solutions, advising on best practices and innovative approaches.
• Maintain a broad and up-to-date understanding of the retail and POS landscape, leveraging industry knowledge to recommend enhancements and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Provide guidance on integration and system upgrades as necessary.
• Support ongoing POS improvements and ensure architecture scalability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a specialization in Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Strong understanding of the retail sector, with practical experience in designing and implementing POS architectures.
• Expertise in advising on IT architecture with a focus on POS solutions.
• Ability to bring industry best practices and innovative solutions to the project.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Flexible approach to hybrid working, with the ability to spend 2-3 days a week on-site in Nottingham.
