Our client, a global telecommunications company, is currently hiring for a Field Applications Engineer to provide professional technical and project management support for service provider and distribution partners in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Technical support of all SP accounts and SP distribution partners (2nd / 3rd Line)
- Customer onsite support for technical issue replicating, debugging and real life testing
- Provide support to the WEU Sales Team in the form of pre-sales, and attend customer sites where and when appropriate
- Develop and deliver technical training to customers, partners and other members of the team. Both onsite and internally
- Testing and evaluating new products including but not limited to: CPE/GPON/XGSPON/COE/LTE/5G/FWA product lines and firmware releases
- The ability to discuss with Product/Project Managers to come up with reasonable/feasible SW delivery schedule/plan with the considerations based on current situation (including FW/HW/logistic), and customer\’s requirements and communicate our plans to the customer.
Requirements
- Expert working networking TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS knowledge, including practical experience with wireless, VoIP, TR069/TR181 and xDSL, Fiber, and LTE/5G/FWA products and have been successful working in one of these roles:
– Second line (or higher) technical support within an SP, or
– Second line (or higher) technical support within a CPE vendor or CPE distribution partner
- They must have a valid passport from an EC member state, or if not from an EC member state have the necessary VISA(s) to travel within the EC member states
This is a full time, permanent position working on a hybrid basis, with the requirement to be in the office, 2-3 days per week. This role will involve traveling as required.
