As part of our partnership with a leading enterprise technology company, we manage a fleet of drivers responsible for mapping territories in Europe. We are seeking an Operations & Logistics Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our driver workforce. This role is critical in ensuring field performance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction while also managing logistics and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of drivers in the field on a day-to-day basis, ensuring operational coverage and adherence to routes.
- Track and report on daily, weekly, and monthly driver KPIs, including kilometres driven and mapping coverage.
- Act as the primary operational point of contact with the client, providing updates on performance, identifying trends, and implementing improvements.
- Motivate, coach, and support drivers to consistently meet performance targets and safety standards.
- Identify process and performance gaps; implement solutions to improve productivity, driver engagement, and fleet utilization.
- Ensure all drivers follow company policies, client standards, and health and safety guidelines.
- Produce accurate reports and dashboards for both internal leadership and client stakeholders on fleet and performance metrics.
- Coordinate driver travel and accommodation arrangements when required to support territory mapping.
- Provide hands-on support for drivers experiencing technical or mechanical issues, liaising with service providers or vendors to resolve problems quickly.
- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and available for field deployment.
- Act as a central point of contact for logistical planning, ensuring minimal disruption to driver schedules and project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations management, logistics, or fleet management.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing field-based teams.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track KPIs and implement performance improvements.
- Highly organised with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and operational tracking tools.
