Construction Site Supervisor β Onshore Wind Farm Project Aberarder, Scotland (Site-Based) 6-Month Contract Β£450βΒ£500 per day via PAYE Umbrella. Accommodation can be provided for candidates based further from site.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to support the delivery of a major onshore renewable energy project in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large-scale infrastructure programme within the renewable energy sector, overseeing multidisciplinary construction activities on a live wind farm development.
The Role
You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site construction activities across civil, electrical and balance of plant works packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Project Managers, contractors, consultants, and wider project teams, you will play a key role in driving construction progress while maintaining strong health, safety, environmental, and quality performance across all site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site construction activities
- Monitor contractor performance, programme progress, and quality of works
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits, ITPs, and environmental controls
- Conduct site inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Produce daily diaries and weekly progress reports
- Support NEC contract administration and site coordination activities
- Escalate project risks, delays, and site issues where required
- Liaise with stakeholders including landowners, local authorities, and supply chain partners
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across site operations
Requirements
- Previous experience supervising construction activities on major infrastructure, renewable energy, utilities, or civil engineering projects
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and site compliance
- Experience working with NEC contracts and multidisciplinary contractors
- Relevant engineering, trade, or supervisory qualification (CITB / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- SMSTS, SSSTS, or NEBOSH qualification preferred
- Strong reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to work on remote sites
