An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning & Consents professional to support a major infrastructure and energy programme on an initial 6-month contract basis.
This role will play a key part in coordinating planning compliance activities across a complex portfolio of projects, ensuring planning conditions, consent variations and associated planning applications are effectively managed and tracked through to completion.
Working within a multi-disciplinary project environment, you will collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, planning authorities and internal stakeholders to drive consistency, governance and timely delivery across all planning-related activities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee the discharge of planning conditions with Local Planning Authorities (LPAs), ensuring timely progress and resolution.
- Manage and maintain planning condition trackers, ensuring accurate reporting and visibility of risks, actions and deadlines.
- Monitor and coordinate planning variations and amendments to existing consents and permissions.
- Collate and organise information required to support planning-related decision making and governance processes.
- Track and oversee planning applications submitted by third parties and contractors on behalf of the project.
- Ensure clear communication and feedback loops between planning, project delivery and stakeholder engagement teams.
- Support the development and implementation of structured governance, reporting and planning compliance processes.
- Identify risks, issues and opportunities relating to planning compliance and escalate where appropriate.
- Build strong working relationships with project teams, planning authorities, consultants and contractors.
