My client is looking for a Data Analytics Specialist to work hybrid from their office in London. You will own how my client turns CRM data into something clients can act on. Day to day, that means working across client CRM and campaign datasets, building the models and pipelines that aggregate behavioural and campaign data, and answering the questions the account and strategy teams cannot get from a dashboard alone. You will use AI to move faster; drafting and checking SQL, summarising large datasets, and surfacing patterns, while setting the rules for doing all of that safely with client data.
This is a role that sets the standard rather than follows one. You will bring modern practice into how they work: a warehouse-first approach, version-controlled and tested transformations, and AI-assisted workflows the rest of the team can pick up and trust. Where AI speeds the work up, you decide where it helps and where it must not go near client PII, and you make those guardrails real rather than theoretical.
Success in the first 6 months looks like reporting the teams trust, at least 2 AI-assisted analytics workflows other people actually adopt, and a clear, documented data governance standard across client workspaces.
Key Responsibilities- Build and own data models that aggregate CRM, campaign, and behavioural data across multiple clients into something analysts and strategists can query.
- Turn messy client data into reliable, documented, version-controlled transformations; treat pipelines as code, with tests.
- Answer the analytical questions a dashboard cannot: cohort behaviour, lifecycle value, and what actually moved a campaign metric.
- Set how my client uses AI in data work; where large language models speed up SQL, summarisation, and pattern-finding, and where they must not touch client PII.
- Validate AI-generated queries and analysis before anyone acts on them; no AI output ships unchecked.
- Define and enforce data quality and governance standards across client workspaces.
- Build repeatable, AI-assisted analytics workflows the wider team can use, not one-off scripts only you understand.
- Partner with strategy and account teams to turn findings into campaign and lifecycle decisions.
- Mentor analysts and raise the data literacy of the teams around you.
- Track modern tooling and AI capabilities, and bring the useful parts in rather than chasing every new release.
- Strong SQL and hands-on experience modelling data in a cloud warehouse such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Comfortable with a transformation framework such as dbt, and with treating analytics as version-controlled, tested code.
- Fluent in Python for analysis and automation.
- Deep understanding of CRM and campaign data: segmentation, lifecycle metrics, and event data from platforms like Braze.
- Practical, safe use of AI tools for data work; prompt hygiene, validating output, and clear rules for handling client PII.
- A leader and an innovator who sets the approach and brings others with them.
- Clear communicator who can explain a finding to a strategist or a client without the jargon.
- Bonus: experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Metabase, and with reverse ETL.
- Bonus: experience building or evaluating AI-assisted internal tooling.
