MarkieDans is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and hands‑on Bar Manager to lead our team in the heart of Oban. Known for live music, great food, and live sport, we are one of Oban’s most popular venues, and we pride ourselves on delivering high standards of service and a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and staff. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager to take ownership of a busy, well‑established bar and restaurant, leading from the front and driving the continued success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the bar and food service operations.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards at all times.
- Manage staff rotas, staffing levels, and team performance.
- Lead, train, and develop the team through ongoing support.
- Manage stock ordering and inventory control.
- Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and full compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
- Drive sales, profitability, and operational efficiency.
