Due to successful growth and contracts, our client near Heathrow is seeking an experienced project manager with a proven track record in managing electrical and mechanical engineering projects from start to finish at Heathrow. You will lead a team of engineers, providing support to the customer, and managing multiple contracts simultaneously. A strong mechanical or electrical engineering background and knowledge are essential.
Your responsibilities include:
- Offering high-level support and expertise to ensure smooth project execution
- Conducting regular meetings with clients
- Working closely with the project administrator to manage budgets, risk reports, and planning
- Coordinating with the projects team for ordering parts and supplies
- Participating in staff training for specific contracts
- Planning resources and allocating staff, including sourcing contract staff as needed
- Overseeing end-to-end electrical and mechanical projects within Heathrow Airport
- Liaising with senior management on project timelines and progress
- Ensuring health and safety compliance
- Managing procurement and negotiations with suppliers
- Ensuring all work complies with standards
Previous experience in project management within engineering, preferably in an airport or similar industry, is preferred. Excellent communication skills at all levels are required, along with a full 5-year checkable work history to obtain an airside pass.
