We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Head of Supplements to build and scale a premium blood testing and personalised supplements platform at Third Space. This is a senior, end‑to‑end role with full ownership of a strategically important growth pillar, combining blood diagnostics, nutritionist‑led interpretation and personalised supplement subscriptions. The role will take the business from concept through to scaled, profitable operation, leveraging Third Space’s trusted brand, affluent member base and deep credibility in performance, recovery and wellbeing. The opportunity is significant: research highlights strong latent demand and this role will be accountable for realising that potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Own full P&L responsibility for the supplements and blood testing business, including revenue growth, gross margin, cost control and EBITDA delivery.
- Define and execute the commercial strategy across supplements, blood testing, nutrition coaching and subscriptions.
- Build a subscription‑first revenue model, optimising pricing, bundles and retention to drive lifetime value.
- Set and manage pricing architecture across blood testing packages, consultations and personalised supplement stacks.
- Identify and unlock incremental revenue opportunities, including add‑on products, expanded ranges and adjacent health categories.
- Product & Proposition Development
- Lead the development of a tiered personalised health ecosystem, combining health‑goal‑based supplement recommendations, optional but differentiated blood testing via trusted lab partners, and nutritionist‑led interpretation and clear, prioritised guidance.
- Ensure all products and protocols are evidence‑based, credible and transparent.
- Own the core supplement range strategy, initially focused on high‑trust, high‑demand categories (e.g. protein, creatine, electrolytes, multivitamins, omega‑3, magnesium, vitamin D, iron).
- Decide where Third Space‑branded products versus selected third‑party products make most commercial and operational sense.
- Work closely with marketing and nutrition teams to ensure the proposition remains expert‑led and outcomes‑driven.
- Customer Journey & Experience
- Design and optimise the end‑to‑end customer journey, from health goals and lifestyle data capture through to fulfilment and ongoing re‑testing.
- Ensure blood test results and supplement recommendations are explained in clear, plain language, with prioritised actions members can trust.
- Embed outcome‑driven retesting (e.g. at 3–6 months) to demonstrate progress and drive subscription retention.
- Deliver a seamless experience across digital, in‑club and nutritionist touchpoints.
- Supply Chain, Operations & Compliance
- Own supplier strategy, including sourcing, negotiation and performance management across supplements, labs and logistics partners.
- Oversee manufacturing, inventory planning, warehousing and fulfilment, maintaining a capital‑light operating model.
- Balance scalability, speed, quality and cost efficiency across the supply chain.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant UK regulatory, quality and safety standards for supplements and diagnostics.
- Growth, Performance & Data
- Define and track key performance metrics, including CAC, LTV, conversion, retention, AOV and subscription churn.
- Use data, experimentation and member insight to continuously refine the proposition and commercial model.
- Partner with marketing, ecommerce and in‑club teams to drive acquisition, education, conversion and repeat purchase.
- Apply learnings from Natural Fitness Food and wider member research, particularly around trust, pricing sensitivity and subscription behaviour.
- Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Build and lead a high‑performing supplements and ecommerce team as the business scales.
- Act as the internal authority on supplements, personalisation and the wider market landscape.
- Collaborate closely with product, nutrition, marketing, operations and finance teams.
Required Experience
Essential
- Significant experience in consumer health, supplements, personalised nutrition, ecommerce or adjacent sectors.
- Proven track record of owning and scaling a P&L in a subscription or repeat‑purchase business.
- Strong commercial judgement with a data‑driven, test‑and‑learn mindset.
- Experience managing suppliers, manufacturing, logistics and fulfilment partners.
- Clear understanding of personalised health, diagnostics or nutrition‑led propositions.
- Comfortable operating both strategically and hands‑on in a fast‑moving environment.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable
- Background in DTC health brands or premium subscription models.
- Familiarity with UK supplements regulation and quality frameworks.
- Experience working with nutritionists or practitioners supporting elite or high‑performance populations.
What Success Looks Like
- A scaled, profitable supplements and blood testing business with strong margins and predictable subscription revenue.
- Seamless integration between blood diagnostics, nutritionist guidance and personalised supplement plans.
- High member satisfaction, trust and retention, underpinned by measurable health outcomes.
- A robust, scalable and compliant supply chain.
- Third Space positioned as a long‑term health optimisation partner, not just a gym.
