Sales Manager - Events

Full-Time No working from home possible
M

Lead a telesales team. Sell to senior decision-makers. Own your own numbers.

Salary is up to £50,000 Basic, with an OTE of £70,000 plus full company benefits.

Hybrid working - 3 days per week in Central London office.

This is a role for someone who wants to lead from the front, not manage from the sidelines. You'll run a tight team of four telesales executives while carrying your own delegate sales target across a portfolio of global events. Half the week you're coaching, listening to calls and sharpening pipeline; the other half you're on the phone yourself, closing senior-level decision-makers across digital infrastructure.

If you want a player-manager role where your own selling keeps you sharp and your leadership makes the team better, this is it.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the team

  • Manage, motivate and develop four telesales executives
  • Set daily and weekly activity and revenue targets – calls, connects, conversions
  • Track performance through KPIs, call quality and pipeline
  • Coach through call listening and feedback to lift conversion rates
  • Run team meetings, sales huddles and performance reviews
  • Personally sell delegate passes across key events via outbound telesales
  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of prospects and repeat buyers
  • Consistently hit and beat your individual revenue target

Run the campaigns

  • Work with marketing to execute targeted telesales campaigns
  • Follow up inbound leads, campaigns and database segments
  • Refine messaging and scripts based on what’s converting

Own the numbers

  • Track team and individual performance against target
  • Report on conversion rates, lead quality and market feedback
  • Provide weekly pipeline updates and revenue forecasts

What Success Looks Like

  • Team revenue vs. target
  • Your own revenue vs. target
  • Call and activity levels
  • Pipeline value and velocity

What You’ll Bring

  • A solid grasp of sales process – and the judgement to spot where the team needs development
  • A proven track record in telesales or delegate sales; events experience is a strong plus
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small sales team
  • Confident, strong closing skills on the phone
  • A driven, target-focused, commercially minded outlook
  • The ability to coach, motivate and lift team performance
  • Solid Salesforce CRM and sales data skills

You Are

  • Hands-on, with a lead‑from‑the‑front mentality
  • Competitive and results‑driven
  • A strong communicator with energy and resilience
  • Organised, disciplined and accountable
