Events Marketing Executive – B2B Tech – Global Brand – London
to £35k Basic + Great Benefits (incl Strong Pension, Life, Health, Flexi time, Training Budget)
Hybrid – c2 days per week in the London office (or more if you want to)
As an Events Marketing Executive, you will join an exciting global B2B publishing brand in London.
Guided by the Head of Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for a high-value global portfolio of international Conferences & Events, within the Global Tech sector.
Requirements:
- At least 1 – 2 years of B2B events marketing experience
- Experience in executing campaigns to drive delegate acquisition for events
- Track record of successfully designing and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Experience in social media marketing, ideally with some paid LinkedIn ads experience
- Working knowledge of Excel and Google Analytics
- Ideally some video creation/editing experience
- Design skills using Canva and/or Adobe
- Good copywriting skills and content creation
- Website / CMS experience
- Ability to work closely with sales and align marketing strategy to commercial objectives
- Experience managing and developing high-performing marketing plans/projects. With complete post event/project reporting.
- Experience in digital marketing techniques and channels
- Establish a data-driven approach to strategic and tactical decision making
- A proven record of testing, measuring and evaluating marketing channels to optimise spend and demonstrate ROI
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate performance metrics, challenges and opportunities to the event project team
Reporting to the Head of Marketing your responsibilities will be to:
- Implement and project-manage high calibre, coordinated marketing campaigns for multiple conferences – including both free delegate and paying delegate campaigns
- Utilise digital and non-digital channels including but not limited to email, social media, SEO and content marketing, working with digital marketing specialists
- Consider new ways to improve and innovate with every event marketing campaign, collaborating and initiating projects with the marketing team
- Devise, implement and manage strategies to increase conversion of prospects and return of attendees
- Work closely with other internal teams such as operations and production where relevant to coordinate event marketing deliverables
- Work with and coordinate deals or contras with external suppliers, media partners and PR agencies
- Build and manage databases, ensuring to keep data up to date, targeted and relevant for every event campaign. This will involve regular use of the CRM system and excel
- Use intuitive lead-generation techniques for data capture of new prospects
- Manage and control the marketing budget for each campaign
- Produce a post conference campaign analysis for each event using relevant analytics tools to track performance
- Balance multiple priorities, updating stakeholders on progress and expected delivery
- Work with the Head of Marketing to develop the social media strategy and use of systems such as Sprinklr across the brands, acting as a social media champion.
