This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the Central London office per week. Salary c£70k Basic with Strong Benefits on top. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing B2B publishing and market intelligence business as a Head of Marketing Data for a 9 Month Maternity Leave contract.
As the Marketing Data Lead, you will head a team of data specialists, playing a pivotal role in driving customer growth and revenue expansion. You will be the authority on the audiences, possessing a deep understanding of target firms, key personas, and how each brand and product can positively impact end customers.
Requirements & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Extensive experience in marketing data within B2B financial services, business information, or events organisations.
- Proven expertise in developing B2B marketing data selections, with broader experience in marketing planning and campaign management.
- Experience in technology such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Marketo, Tableau, SailThru, SQL Management Studio, Data Bricks, Google Analytics, etc, to optimise data-driven marketing.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of working under pressure, recruiting and leading a high-performing team, and coordinating multiple schedules and deadlines.
- Confident in campaign data selection, tracking, analytics, and evaluation, with an obsession for data accuracy and quality.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of delivering insights and results effectively to stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) for managing large-scale data warehouses.
- Experience using industry-standard campaign management and decisioning tools.
- Ability to synthesise and interpret complex data sources to formulate well-reasoned strategies and recommendations.
- Strong understanding of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and other relevant privacy frameworks within a data-driven marketing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with marketing leadership to design and implement data-driven strategies for targeted communications, supporting objectives across digital subscriptions, networks, events, sponsorships, and marketing solutions.
- Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team to enhance the business and fuel marketing success.
- Identify and integrate new data sources (both internal and external) to refine selection processes and improve targeting sophistication.
- Analyse regional, asset-class, and firm-level market potential, developing a data strategy to achieve business objectives, including growth in subscriptions, delegates, sponsors, and marketing solutions customers.
- Partner with global marketing teams to research audience potential, source appropriate data, manage selection processes, and oversee campaign implementation, tracking, and measurement.
- Leverage cutting-edge technology, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Marketo, Tableau, SailThru, SQL Management Studio, and Data Bricks, to optimise data-driven marketing.
- Collaborate with data providers and internal teams to enhance and enrich customer and prospect data, ensuring accuracy in marketing platforms for refined selections.
- Work closely with Data Science, Business Intelligence, Revenue Operations, and marketing teams to produce post-campaign analysis reports that are timely, accurate, and actionable.
- Facilitate training and briefings to ensure a data and insight-led approach remains central to all marketing efforts.
