The Wolseley Hospitality Group's Head Office is located above The Wolseley on Piccadilly. It comprises The Director’s office alongside People, Talent & Culture, Finance, Purchasing, Marketing and Reservations.

A commercially driven marketing leader responsible for shaping and delivering the company’s marketing strategy to drive revenue growth, brand positioning, and customer engagement. This role combines strategic leadership, digital innovation, and financial accountability, working cross-functionally to align marketing activity with wider business objectives. The Marketing Director will lead a high performing team, oversee multi-channel campaigns, and ensure all marketing investment delivers measurable commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communications
    • Define brand positioning, narrative, and go to market strategy across all channels and touchpoints
    • Ensure consistency and innovation across all brand, content, and communications activity
    • Manage and align agencies and external partners to deliver best in class creative, media, and communications
    • Communicate brand activity and plans clearly across the wider business
    • Develop opening and launch strategies for new initiatives
    • Build strong, site-level relationships and maintain a deep understanding of each location’s needs and performance
  • Digital & Social
    • Define the strategy across paid, organic, CRM, SEO, and third parties to drive measurable growth
    • Evolve customer insight, data, and performance metrics to inform strategy and optimise results
    • Ensure digital and social channels are fully aligned with brand, campaign, and commercial objectives
  • Leadership & Operations
    • Lead, inspire, and develop the marketing team with clear direction, priorities, and KPIs
    • Embed a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement
    • Implement clear processes to optimise efficiency, collaboration, and output quality
    • Build strong relationships with department heads across the business
  • Financial & Commercial Management
    • Manage the marketing budget, including monthly accrual reviews, forecasting, and end-of-month P&L preparation
    • Identify areas for savings and efficiencies without compromising impact
