The Senior Client Officer (SCO) owns the responsibility to bring to clients the best of Ipsos and be the "Voice of the Client" among Ipsos teams.

This is a fantastic career opportunity for you to combine the best of your business development, strategic leadership and client relationship management skills together with your market research knowledge to bring the best of Ipsos to our clients.

The SCO manages a client portfolio (3-5 clients depending on the size and potential of the clients) and conducts the following activities for each client:

  • Client Strategy: Understand client sector, context and strategic/growth questions the client is facing. Build the long-term vision for the client identifying client’s growth agenda, client priorities, client power map, competitive landscape, Ipsos value proposition. Build a strategic commercial action plan with the Service Lines and Global Account Directors (if client is managed at global level) that plans for growth and is consistent with Service Lines budget reporting.
  • Business Development: Activate the commercial action plan to meet target revenue objectives in coordination with the Service Lines. Take a business development approach with the client to develop opportunities, promote Ipsos services and create additional revenue and new sources of revenue. Lead proposals and pitches where there is no Service Line involvement or strategically significant. Advise Service Lines on pricing and optics to ensure we hit the client brief. Look for and develop opportunities to put Ipsos services top-of-mind (e.g. conference attendance / speaking, hot seats, client hacks).
  • Client Relationship Management: Build relationship and trust with clients' business decision makers (C-Suites, business teams – both insight and outside insight – etc), to establish trusted advisor status. Ensure ongoing retained programmes are providing recognisable value to clients. Build on previous work to give additional value ("connect the dots"). Provide added value to client with new ideas, thought leadership, and innovative ways of doing market research and growth strategy.
