Ipsos CrossMedia is at a pivotal and exciting stage of growth, and we are looking for a motivated Production Engineer to join our innovative Data Science and Engineering teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on both high-profile, established projects for blue-chip clients and to contribute to brand-new, greenfield initiatives.

What is in it for you?

  • Build and Manage Cloud Infrastructure: You will own the management of our production and development infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS. This includes our Kubernetes clusters, cloud storage, and identity and access management.
  • Master Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You will design, write, and deploy code to manage our infrastructure using modern IaC tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Automate Everything: You will be responsible for our CI/CD pipelines, using tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps to automate the building, testing, and deployment of our applications and data workflows.
  • Orchestrate Data Workflows: A core part of your role will be creating, maintaining, and monitoring our data ingestion and delivery pipelines using Argo Workflows.
  • Ensure System Reliability (SRE Principles): You will monitor the health and performance of our systems, ensuring efficient resource usage.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: You will be empowered to propose and implement structural improvements to our platform.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: You will work closely with our talented Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Owners.
  • Shared On-Call Responsibility: You will participate in a shared, rota-based, out-of-hours emergency on-call schedule.

About you

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Cloud Platform Experience: Professional experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of IaC principles and tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
  • CI/CD: Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows.
  • Databases: Working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases or data warehouses.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash) and comfort with the Unix/Linux command line.
  • ETL/Data Pipelines: Familiarity with data workflows and tools like Argo Workflows.

Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
  • NoSQL Databases: Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
