ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Account Manager is pivotal in the day-to-day management of the client’s business and the implementation ofcampaigns from brief through to execution, ensuring delivery against strategic objectives while maintaining strong clientrelationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Account Management
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day administration of all client projects, ensuring briefs are interpreted, deadlines met andpriorities managed.
  • Become the knowledge holder for campaigns, ensuring alignment across contributors and clear understanding ofsubject matter.
  • Ensure internal teams and clients are managed effectively to achieve the best outcomes in the most efficientway.
  • Keep all paperwork updated, including estimates, briefs, timelines and contact reports.
  • Implement best practice through comprehensive briefing documents, timelines and status reports, ensuringapprovals at key milestones.
  • Identify out‑of‑scope requests and provide recommendations on the appropriate approach.
  • Review profitability with the Account Director, identify learnings and implement improvements while maintaining quality.
  • Oversee work delivered across agency departments to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Deputise for the Account Director internally and with clients when required.
  • Consultancy
  • Work closely with the Account Director and contribute to go-to-market planning.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and the technology sector.
  • Think proactively on behalf of clients, identifying new marketing initiatives, future projects andareas foroptimisation.
  • Identify new opportunities and maximise existing ones within the client account.
  • Help shape and develop client briefs.
  • Write strong creative briefs in collaboration with Planning and Creative leadership.
  • Stay informed on industry and marketing trends, using insights to guide client strategy and recommendations.
  • Present agency recommendations effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Analyse campaign results and share clear, meaningful insights.
  • People
  • Develop strong relationships with agency teams and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day matters.
  • Contribute to the personal development of team members where required.
  • Manage, inspire and mentor team members to ensure high performance and career progression.
  • Know when to bring in senior support or wider team members to maximise client opportunities.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Financial Management
  • Submit accurate weekly forecasts.
  • Manage day-to-day finances, ensuring efficiency, correct pricing and budget adherence.
  • Ensure all financial approvals (including purchase orders) are obtained before spend is committed
  • Ensure prompt and accurate invoicing of all projects.
  • Support the Account Director in forecasting and financial accuracy as required.
