Role Overview
The Marketing Technology Executive supports the delivery of marketing technology, marketing automation, and reporting services across retained and project-based client programmes.
Working closely with senior digital and technology specialists, you will help implement, manage, and optimise marketing technology platforms, supporting clients in maximising the value of their CRM, marketing automation, and reporting investments.
This role combines technical execution, analytical problem-solving, and client support.
You will play a key role in delivering customer journey programmes, campaign reporting, automation workflows, and martech solutions that help clients improve performance and drive measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Technology & Platform Management
- Configure, maintain, and optimise marketing automation and go-to-market technology platforms, including Hub Spot, Demandbase, and related tools.
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of marketing technology solutions across client programmes.
- Assist with platform configuration, onboarding, user adoption, and documentation.
- Ensure best practice is applied across marketing technology environments and workflows.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and recommend improvements to processes and system configuration.
- Marketing Automation & Customer Lifecycle Programmes
- Build and manage automated workflows, nurture programmes, lead-scoring models, and customer journeys.
- Support the execution of customer lifecycle marketing initiatives.
- Ensure automation programmes align with client objectives and campaign requirements.
- Assist with campaign implementation across email, demand generation, and digital marketing activities.
- Monitor programme performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Reporting, Analytics & Performance Insights
- Develop dashboards, reporting frameworks, and client-facing performance reports.
- Produce regular reporting and analysis with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Support tracking, attribution, and campaign performance measurement activities.
- Analyse campaign data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure reporting is accurate, insightful, and aligned with client objectives.
- CRM & Data Management
- Support CRM integrations and marketing technology ecosystem management.
- Maintain data quality and ensure adherence to data management best practices.
- Assist in managing lead flows, lifecycle stages, and campaign attribution processes.
- Contribute to platform health checks, audits, and optimisation projects.
- Support clients in improving marketing operations and reporting processes.
- Client Support & Consultancy
- Act as a trusted internal resource on marketing technology capabilities and best practices.
- Support account teams in developing recommendations for clients.
- Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to client discussions relating to automation, reporting, and platform functionality.
- Provide practical recommendations that improve platform utilisation and marketing effectiveness.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed on developments across marketing automation, CRM, reporting, and AI-enabled marketing technologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and platform performance.
- Partner with Digital, Media, Data, and Innovation teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support the development of new marketing technology capabilities and service offerings.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of marketing technology ecosystems and platforms.
- Experience working with marketing automation platforms, particularly Hub Spot.
- Understanding of CRM systems, lead management processes, and customer lifecycle marketing.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret campaign performance data.
- Experience creating dashboards and presenting reporting insights.
- Ability to manage multiple client projects and priorities simultaneously.

- Ideal Characteristics
- Experience using Hub Spot, with knowledge of Marketo considered advantageous.
- Working knowledge of GTM technologies such as Demandbase or 6sense.
- Experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) or equivalent BI platforms.
- Understanding of campaign tracking, attribution, and reporting methodologies.
- Knowledge of digital marketing channels including email, paid media, web analytics, and demand generation.
- Experience supporting B2B marketing programmes.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Previous agency or consultancy experience.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and related marketing technologies.
- Interest in marketing technology innovation and AI-enabled marketing.

We aim to offer competitive and fair compensation based on experience, location, and market benchmarks. The banding for this role is £32,000 - £42,000.
