The Role
This apprenticeship role is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career candidate excited to leverage AI to build practical skills in data, process improvement, and automation within a Post‑Trade environment. It is a UK Level 4 Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation Practitioner apprenticeship, including structured learning and assessments over approximately 12‑18 months. You will work across Relationship and Product Management, collating, validating, and presenting information to support decision‑making and continuous improvement. You will map workflows, blend data from multiple sources, maintain process documentation, and build simple automation, reports, and dashboards (e.g., in Excel and Tableau).
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities where AI and automation can safely improve workflows, using low‑code/no‑code tools.
- Apply AI responsibly, considering data privacy, controls, and ethical use, and integrate AI outputs into real business processes.
- Maintain Post‑Trade process maps and documentation, keeping information current and version‑controlled.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs and highlight trends, exceptions, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide team support such as scheduling meetings, capturing actions, and maintaining shared trackers and documentation.
What We’re Looking For
- A‑levels or equivalent, preferably with a technical or financial focus, and without a degree.
- A passion for AI, automation, and problem solving.
- Some experience in a technical or administrative role.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL helpful but not essential.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong motivation to achieve success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in financial technology and industry trends.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with initiative.
